Seawych  FREE

I have gained another Seawych, so looking to dispose of my current one.
I sail it regularly and is in an ok condition. Sail number 239.
I shall be removing some items I had installed (depth/speed log, wind generator, switch panel, bulk head compass, lights, diesel heater etc), so some hole filling will be necessary.
If I can’t find another home soon, then this little yacht will be cut up and scrapped, with all fittings salvaged.
The hull is sound and keels are good with no sign of damage or rust. It’s moored on the River Medway and is water tight.
The mast beam support had drooped causing the roof to sag, but this has been corrected with a compression post.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone to project or combine to another Seawych to make a good one.
But the boat has to go, or mooring fees to be paid if kept where it is. I could possibly deliver local (Kent or Essex) by sea or maybe by road on a trailer?

Trailer for sale

Sturdy 6m braked boat trailer built on an ALKO chassis. Professionally built for a Seawych 19ft yacht, but could be altered to work with a speedboat. Recent refurbishment including:

New Brake system
New Tyres
New ALKO coupling assembly
New Box Section
New mudguards
Used once since refurbishment to collect boat, never been in water, over £700 spent on parts.

As shown in pictures there are guide legs, which support the rear of the trailer and guide the boat onto the centre of the trailer. There is also a sliding keel tray to balance the load over the axle.

The trailer does not come with a light board, so the buyer needs to provide this. £895

Hi My Dad recently passed away,

I have paperwork for us to prove original purchase in Sept 1976 but delivered March 1977. The sail number is 358. This was a Sadler built boat with finishing done to a professional standard. It has used mostly on fresh water with only two weeks on salt water. Trailered  after every use and dry stored. I understand it has not been used for 20plus years but the boat is in exceptional condition. Has many extras and will need mild re-commissioning to sail again. The biggest issue is the trailer will need new tyres , possibly bearings, and the brakes checked. So may need picking up on a transporter. However it is free to anyone who will use it again and pick up. Really is a well looked after hidden gem. After all the work Dad put in what matters most is that it has a future.

Would absolutely hate it to be destroyed. So if someone can convince  me they will give it a future may even cover collection costs.

Can you help me.Russell
